BAY OF CONNECTIONS Requests for Proposal
• Forestry & Wood Processing Industry Expert
• Freight Logistics Industry Expert
The Bay of Connections is the regional growth strategy for the wider Bay of Plenty, with a vision of creating a prosperous region supported by sustainable sectors.
It is simple and aspirational, with the aim of establishing and implementing sector-based strategies that generate job growth.
At the heart of the strategy are the philosophies of collaboration and connectedness. Through working together and connecting the right people, places, businesses, organisations and industries, the benefits from within and into the region are boundless.
Since its inception in 2008, Bay of Connections has made a significant impact on the region’s development, contributing to regional and national influence. The organic growth seen over that time is a result of Bay of Connections’ commitment to remaining industry-led and providing a framework of enablement, advocacy and communication to help support industry growth.
Bay of Connection’s strong commercial and action focus also ensures its relevance and effectiveness for the wider Bay of Plenty. It is a coalition of the willing, where participation by interested stakeholders is encouraged and continues to grow.
Supporting the over-arching Bay of Connections strategy is a number of sector strategies and action plans, each supported by an industry group and co-ordinated by an industry expert.
The contract for three of these industry expert roles is now up for tender and we invite individuals or consultancy groups to respond to the relevant Request for Proposals.
