Bay of Connections is the Regional Economic Growth Strategy for the wider Bay of Plenty region. It sets out the goals and priorities for sustainable economic growth in the Bay of Plenty region.
The key philosophy is to work in partnership across the region, combining industry strengths and creating critical scale for large projects - to contribute to positive impacts on the region’s economy.
The Bay of Connections also includes Taupo, as the Bay of Connections is about economic boundaries rather than geographic boundaries.
The strategy was launched in 2008 with an update released in 2011. Read more background information.
