Priority One is the economic development organisation covering Tauranga and the Western Bay of Plenty. The organisation was established by the business community and is half funded by business membership, making it a unique structure for an economic development organisation in New Zealand. Smart Economy is the Western Bay of Plenty sub-region’s economic development strategy. The sub-region includes Tauranga City and Western Bay of Plenty District. The strategy aims to make the sub-region the business location of choice, resulting in a highly productive, competitive and export-based economy. It recognises the growing importance of work/life balance and an evolving business environment which respects the natural values of its location.
Destination Rotorua Economic Development
Destination Rotorua Economic Development actively works alongside the wider Rotorua business and government community with the aim of creating an environment that encourages and stimulates economic growth.

Toi-EDA – Eastern Bay of Plenty Regional Economic Development Agency
Toi-EDA is the Eastern Bay of Plenty Regional Economic Development Agency set up by the three territorial authorities (Kawerau, Opotiki and Whakatane) and the regional Council Environment Bay of Plenty, working together with local iwi.
